Jon Schmidt and Cavalcade :)

For part of my piano lessons, I participate in different events throughout the year. One of them is called Cavalcade. Cavalcade is where there are two people on each piano, each of the people are playing a different part, and there are lots of pianos, but it is all one song. This year my teacher was in charge of it and thought it would be cool to have Jon Schmidt come to the concert. So she contacted him and had it all arranged. He came and the night before the concert, he gave all of my piano teacher's students a private recital. Here are some of the pictures from Cavalcade practice, the private concert, and the Cavalcade performance.

Just in case you can't tell, I'm the one with the shirt with the purple sleeve.

Practice, practice, practice...

Jon Schmidt Playing piano at our private concert.

Jon is really crazy. He plays songs upside down as you can see here. He also plays a few songs where he uses different parts of his body (elbow, nose, toe) :)

Standing next to Jon is my awesome piano teacher!

Rock on man!

Here is the stage with all the pianos on it.

Superman, the evil lady(can't remember her name), and Super Schmidt!

My group played a duet of Waterfall written by Jon Schmidt but arranged.

Here's my piano teacher with Jon again. She is giving him this super cool thank you book.

Emma stood in line and waited for her chance to get a picture with Jon Schmidt. It was cute!

Cavalcade was really great this year. Probably the best one yet. I am excited to do it again next year! It was loads of fun!
